After many years of following a strict selective process of the Spanish Horse of black coat, while being head of other stables and breeding at the same time, we reached to gather the morphological, functional, and genetic characteristics in a flock of twenty mares that today create the foundation of Yeguada Onix.
We were committed to found the yeguada when we were completely certain the quality of foals that could be obtained and only after possessing a foundation stallion which could gather all the requisites necessary to breed champions and this, is our Desdemono.
At the brink of 2006, after a long and restless search, we finally came to Chileno IX, a black colt from the yeguada of Jose Luis de la Escalera, with excellent qualities to become a foundation stallion of our yeguada. Since then, he has developed maintaining his characteristic beauty.
His dam is Chilena, a mare with a well known reputation among the Spanish race horses and his sire is Obcecado, a stallion from Yeguada Militar. Both stallions, Desdemono and Chileno, complement each other, while maintaining the same breeding line, just like we intended since the beginning!
Desdemono has already proven with his offspring, what we expected from him from his origin and qualities-class, height, movement, nobility, beauty, and race. Now is Chileno’s turn to stand up and prove worthy of our expectations.
And together they have proven worthy to Yeguada Onix, giving us magnificent foals with class, height, movement, nobility, beauty, and race.
